Notice on the selection of disinfectants in the prevention and control of African swine fever
The Agricultural and Rural (Animal Husbandry and Veterinary, Agriculture and Animal Husbandry) Departments (Bureaus, Committees) of all provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, and cities under separate state planning, Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Agricultural and Rural Bureau:
After the evaluation of the National African Swine Fever Reference Laboratory System and full communication with the African Swine Fever Reference Laboratory of relevant international organizations, we have studied the selection of disinfectants in different links (see attachment). Please promote it to the majority of farms (households). Make choices and use in emergency response, strengthen the quality supervision of veterinary disinfectant, and crack down on counterfeit and inferior veterinary drugs.

Remarks
1. Sodium hydroxide and calcium hydroxide disinfectants can be used at 1% concentration;
2. Glutaraldehyde, quaternary ammonium salts, phenols, and chlorine dioxide disinfectants can be used with reference to the concentration indicated in the manual, Except for the concentration of drinking water disinfectant;
3. Containing iodine and chlorine. Potassium monopersulfate disinfectants can be used with reference to the highest concentration indicated in the manual.
